Meet the SuperNova - the most capable powerchair we've ever built, designed entirely in-house by our own team from the ground up. Taking everything that made the Nova a customer favourite and pushing it further, the SuperNova is engineered with a full carbon fibre frame, dual high-torque brushless motors, and a wider, more supportive seat, all wrapped in a striking design that doesn't compromise on portability.
Weighing just 18kg, the SuperNova is one of the lightest powerchairs available anywhere with a 160kg (25 stone) weight capacity - a combination that's virtually unheard of in this class. Where the Nova blends carbon fibre with aluminium, the SuperNova's frame is constructed entirely from carbon fibre, shedding weight while adding strength exactly where it's needed most.
Two upgraded 300W brushless motors (600W combined) deliver noticeably more power and torque than the standard Nova, giving the SuperNova genuine multi-terrain capability. Kerbs, gravel paths, grass and uneven pavements are all handled with confidence, while shock-absorbing front and rear suspension keeps the ride smooth regardless of what's underfoot.
The seating area has been widened too - a generous 50cm seat and 54cm between armrests give noticeably more room than the standard Nova, making the SuperNova a comfortable option for larger or taller users without sacrificing the chair's compact, foldable design.
Movement is controlled via a sleek digital display with a 360° precision joystick, mountable on either armrest, giving you real-time speed and battery information at a glance. Electromagnetic braking brings the chair safely to a stop the moment the joystick is released, and a manual freewheel mode allows a carer or attendant to push the chair when needed. A seat belt is fitted as standard for extra peace of mind.
